There's a whole lot of huffin' and puffin' going on nowadays in the whacky world of professional wrestling. It, however, remains one of the most interesting sports of this era.
This page is divided in certain area's.
There's an area where you can find videogames, based on the accomplishments of actual living wrestlers.
This of course will mainly deal with games derived from the WWF or WCW, but maybe more will follow.
Another area shows you games, with wrestling characters or characters, that use wrestling moves (sometimes next to moves from other sports as well).
The final part of this page contains among others also links to wrestling games etc.
Maybe in the future there could be games with other variations, so space is open for other possibilities.
I tried to gather as many information as I can about those games, but there are many gaps in the information I offer.
And that's were YOU come in. To make this page a document with importance, free for everybody to read and to copy, I need every tiny bit of information on the subject I can get, so if you can tell something let me know.
Of course I didn't get ALL the moves the players can do, so I need also remarks and corrections (maybe you found a wrongly named move
or an extra one?) for the games displayed
You can always
mail me at: "wrestler@dds.nl".
I'd be glad if you did.

Description:
This is the most advanced WWF-based game I've seen so far.
It's a "real life-like" one, in the tradition of "Mortal Combat II/III", without the bloody scenes.
You can choose between several modes:
An Intercontinental Match (after some stages against TWO opponents, possibly of the same wrestler ; more than one Doink is nothing new, but could you imagine what it's like to face TWO Yokozuna's at the same time?), a Tag Team Match (two players), a World Championship.
The game has a joystick and FIVE buttons:
Punch, Kick, Defense, PowerPunch, PowerKick
Do you want to CHEAT with Bam Bam Bigelow? Just use POWERKICK in the Intercontinental Mode and you reach the finale, if you take out your opponents one by one. You, even though you're a beginner, can even reach the last stage of the World Championship Mode this way, but you will have more trouble taking out ALL your opponents at the final Battle Royal!
This POWERKICKing will get you very far with other characters, too!
Wanna CHEAT with Yokozuna? Take the Championship mode and just (repeatedly) press POWERPUNCH (one finger!). You don't even have to touch the joystick, because Yoko automatically bashes the opponents one by one (though when he's been taken down you need another finger to get the "REVERSAL" or DEFENSE-button,
only sometimes in case of emergency you need to touch the joystick). This works only when he's got TWO opponents. With THREE you have to do it by yourself!

This is a full wrestling game with a lot of heavy moves...
One of the opponents, The Red Dragon, really does remind me of The @Great Muta (even the "green mist" of Muta is used by him) and Master Barnes could be a crossover between Big Van @Vader and Road Warrior @Hawk
