- Always wanted to know who this guy or girl in Professional Wrestling was and what she/he had done already?
- Or for example: who were tag team partners?
- Or which names the wrestler used during his carreer?
- Or: you want to make or participate in a wrestling game and you want some names or moves...?
The bad news:
- This is *NOT* a total archive. I'm afraid that's impossible, anyway...
- Here you will find only a small portion of the HUGE world, that's called Pro Wrestling.
The good news:
- There is a *LOT* available here already and it will only become MORE...
What you find here is a couple of years of collecting data brought to you on the Internet by The Cheetara Network.
I've tried to be as accurate as possible, but in spite of this the data will be *NOT 100%* accurate, and possibly there will be corrections when proven wrong or lacking.
Certain facts in this Wrestleclopedia may seem strange to you at first. For example: I also included some misspelled versions of names of wrestlers. This because of the great amount of variations, especially applied to jobbers by the WWF/AWA/NWA-WCW.
- Marty Janetti and Shawn Michaels for example have been misspelled 'Ginetti' and 'Sean' week after week even during their AWA-title-reign as The Midnight Rockers. This will be not corrected by me, so people who missed a period of TV-wrestling will actually be able to find them.
- Neither do I know which one is the correct name of f.e. a WWF-jobber:
... 'Scott Colamtenio' ..?.. 'Scott Colontonio' ..?.. 'Scott Colton ..?.. something else...?
You probably find out this is just the FIRST STAGE of the Wrestleclopedia, ending about 1996.
So where are @Edge and @Christian? Where's the NWO? Where's The Worm ?
Answer: They will be here, but you need to wait a while...
- The GrandSlam Wrestleclopedia wants to become the Internet's #1 Professional Wrestling Encyclopedia. A hard task? 'Hell, yeah!' Steve Austin would say...
- If you want to help the site to stay open, please look here how you can!
- If you want to help to improve this site, read on:
What can you do if you're CERTAIN something is missing or incorrect here?
Please let me know! As soon as possible I will correct or add the data...
But... I need to be able to check your data.
- Please note that this list is *ONLY* made to contain REAL-LIFE wrestlers, *NO* FANTASY STUFF. If people would like such a thing, it is possible, but on a separate listing.
That's why, when you report mistakes, I'd like to see some material that can be verified, like f.e. a reference to or (even better) a scan of a (PWI- or other) magazine, or a reference to an (un)official site.
Thanx in advance for all the trouble this will give you and I will reserve some space for you on a credit list!
BTW, some of you who visited the old Slam Jam Homepage might be aware of the fact that there was already a search engine, called "The Grandslam Wrestleclopedia Search Engine"!
It is still functional and you can find it here:
